Bought another Deebot, this time more expensive and with a mop. Again, loved the vacuum and the app but it only lasted slightly over a year. I thought it was the battery and tried to buy a new one but Ecovacs doesn't stock them and aftermarket batteries have horrible reviews. Returned.
TLDR: bought 2 Deebots, neither one made it two years.

Pros:
- Does an amazing job on high pile carpet.
- Does equally well on hard floors.
- The mop isn't too bad either, it does a great job of helping you keep the floors looking clean. Tip: Pre-wet the mop before using it.
- Ability to control mop water flow from the app.
- Auto empty can be set up to a min of 20 mins and that helps with the issue of the robot not emptying the dust bin completely.
- Ability to setup no go zones even while mapping. That is really helpful as I didn't want my robot try and map under the beds in our bedrooms.
- Super quiet on default power (primary used for hard floors).
- Ability to set cleaning preferences for each mapped area per your needs (clean once/twice, vac power, mop water flow)
Cons
- Battery capacity is on the low side and might be an issue if you are going to run it mostly on a carpeted environment.
- No ability to upgrade to the OZMO Mop Pro (adds ability to scrub floors). I'm not sure how much better it makes anything, but I'm happy with its mopping ability. Don't expect it to replace good ole elbow grease.
- Concerns about software issues. I haven't faced any yet, but it has only been a month so far but I have heard from lot of people that the software issues tend to creep up and cause issues with mapping.
- Can only save 2 maps. Not really an issue at this price, but we need something that can map 3 levels.
- Reliability concerns: Reddit and the internet is filled with lot of cases of the robot not lasting long. I did get a 3 year protection plan on mine (from Walmart)
We run the vac every other day and mop once a week or as needed.
Since this model does not have object avoidance, you can put up no go zones during or after mapping to help keep it from going places where it might get stuck (under the bed). You can only map 2 level, which might be plenty for most people.
It's surprisingly ginger and good at running along the edges of things.
The software I would give a B as finding some of the functions isn't as straight forwards as it could be IMO.
Can't separate open rooms unless it has wall, open spaces get lumped together. Can get fixed with a patch but they haven't yet
When mopping, with the reservoir on it, the machine is too heavy for it to redock itself so you have to either push it up on the dock or grab it and place it. It would be fine if when it goes to dock or recharge itself it doesn't go in a low power mode where it goes really slow. Can get patched as well.
Also the way the self emptying station works, all the stuff comes out of 2 little squares and carpet lent gets stuck. So preferably for homes with no to little carpet. To help you can set it to empty the bin more often.
if you move the dock, be sure to power down the vacuum and dock. it will get lost otherwise
The hardware is awesome and most can get patched to fix.
this is what i really like. reusable mopping pad, machine or hand washable. the water reservoir, i just use distilled water and vinegar, clears really nice. cleaning and maintenance is pretty simple and easy and fast to do. i have long hair and it gets wrapped around the brushes a lot and brush. it cleans really well and efficient and fast and got a lot of options
Bought another Deebot from Costco (one level higher) thinking this time it would be better. Same story, unit stops vacuuming just after one year.
Thank god for Costco warranty and return policy
