During the promotional period, earn a total of 4% and 2% back on the purchases made with your Amazon Visa card that normally earn 2% and 1% back, on up to a maximum of $1,000 in purchases. That's an extra 1% back in addition to the 1% back you earn on the purchases in the 1% back category and an extra 2% back in addition to the 2% back you earn on purchases in the 2% back category. To be eligible for this offer, you must activate by 07/31/23, 11:59 PM ET. All purchases eligible to earn the extra % back during the promotional period 05/01/2023 to 07/31/2023, including those that occurred during the promotional period prior to meeting the offer requirements, will automatically earn the extra % back and be reflected on a future billing statement. The extra points for this promotion are earned after the close of each qualifying Daily Rewards posting and are generally available to be used the same day; however, it may take up to one additional day to become available if the extra points are earned after the close of the last qualifying Daily Rewards posting. It's a new perk they have announced. Got a letter about it. Also now is 2% on some transit categories. We lose the 2% from drugstores tho
and
the Sams Club credit card always gives you 5% back on gas at most gas stations.
The Citi Custom Cash gives 5% though up to $500 spend, so that works for us.

So I guess we should only use this for gas and restaurants, since it'd be a 1% waste to use it on general non-category spend when there are plenty of 2% cashback cards out there.
