Avcording to specs, samsung can endure much more read/write cycles vs sandisk by severalfold.
This product gets 5 stars from 84% of the 42K reviewers, which I have more faith in than an unsubstantiated comment from a dashcam company.

Which Samsung card is this compared to? Pro Endurance?
SanDisk High Endurance
Hours of FHD Recording TBW Warranty Speed Class
10,000 hours @ 26Mbps 117 TBW* 2-years U3
SanDisk Max Endurance
Hours of FHD Recording TBW Warranty Speed Class
60,000 hours @ 26Mbps 702 TBW* 10-years U3
Samsung Pro Endurance (2018)
Hours of FHD Recording TBW Warranty Speed Class
43,800 hours @ 26Mbps 512.4 TBW* 5-years U1
Samsung Pro Endurance (2022)
Hours of FHD Recording TBW Warranty Speed Class
70,080 hours @ 26Mbps 819.9 TBW* 5-years U3
SanDisk "High Endurance" has much lower endurance than Samsung Pro Endurance. You'd need to get the "Max Endurance" from SanDisk to be comparable to Samsung.

Actually, my understanding is that Amazon combines their inventory with all of the third-party sellers… So when they pull "shipped and sold by Amazon" you could actually just get any card from any seller, provided. Which means that any seller selling fake cards are getting mixed in with Amazon's legitimate cards… And there in lies the problem.
Therefore it is recommended to buy products (that have a high propensity to be fakes) from stores that do not have a marketplace… A reputable store like B&H or Bestbuy should only have gotten supplied by manufacture directly… Or a reputable distributor… so they are much safer options… The same is true with things like in a loop batteries that are often counterfeits.
Please be aware that the above is only what I have read, I cannot say for certain if it is true but I have read or heard it from multiple sources… Anyway, take it with a grain of salt

Testing the cards is extra hassle and time wasted. Consumers should not be doing the work that sellers should be doing. It defeats the whole purpose of the transaction in the first place.
I wonder if the recommendation is more about the speed instead of the longevity?
