this is a novelty thing though - more of a fun decoration than functional.
could also be a funny prank gift.
I got a coca-cola themed chiller for $30, and it even came with a 12V car plug, if they can't beat that deal, then it's not worth it for me
Exactly why I didn't buy one, the child fanboy in me wanted one so bad but the trash hoarding adult in me is trying to improve

planning on running mine on a smart plug to hopefully mitigate the early death issues; idk why they wouldn't just make it cycle itself on/off at a max time, or use a thermometer-type thing (like all basic motherboards seem to have) to help regular on/off cycling..also seems like a missed opportunity to use the molded plastic power port at the rear bottom center as the actual power plug port, but i get why all the electronics are where they are.
also dammit i just paid $2.02 more for this..can they add some pricematching/protection to walmart+? lol

I think though the way it's marketed you think it's a real fridge, and it's not, so that's where things go haywire. I was a person mad I didn't get it at retail when it first launched....but as I read, I was happy as I'd been livid reading that this isn't a REAL FRIDGE.
Even more, I read that this doesn't truly get COLD. I like cool drinks, but I love real cold drinks more.

Reading others comments about going out in 3 month's is informative as well. 3 year warranty is only $7 or 2 year for $5 for those still interested.
