I own this mower, and while i like most things about it, if you side discharge, this mower isn't for you. Instead of a traditional side discharge, it actually goes through the mulch plug area and makes a crazy tight corner to exit behind the right wheel.

If your lawn is at all long (and if you are using side discharge, it probably is), it will clog all the time. And on those rare occasions that it doesn't, it will leave rows of clumped up grass because of how little force the discharge has by the time it gets to the back of the mower.

This mower is great for mulching. If your grass is too long for that, then you will be bagging, because side discharge isn't going to happen.

I went to DG and bought Lowe's gift card @10% discount. So with sale and gift card came out $200 below regular price.
See this link for gift card info:

Let me just say that I got this exact mower last year at this time and it has been one of the best lawn equipment purchases I have ever made. Can easily get through my lawn (a little over 1/4 acre) with charge left over. The mower cuts through high or wet grass with ease. I don't bag, so I can't speak to how good the bag is but the mulching blade is very good. The battery lasts just as long this year as it did last year. It is so nice to not have to worry about running to the gas station to fill up a can or to ever have to worry about pulling a cord to start it. Couldn't be more pleased.

Will an EGO with either one or two batteries able to handle a 0.26 acre lot? I am currently using a Honda self-powered gas mower (15 years old and still going!).

My ego lawn mower dies 1 month before warranty expires. I was not even using it that much in the past 5 years. It just decided to quit after a winter. Feel lucky warranty still valid but it's been in shop for repair for 6 weeks still no sight of ending the wait. I will definitely think twice to buy another ego again.

I will stick with Honda as long as you can. My EGO dies just before warranty expires and warranty service took a long time. So if buy an EGO, be ready to buy every 5 years.

What's the difference between this mower and the LM2102SP-A which is on sale for $499 at Amazon, Ace, etc.?
Looking at the comparison chart between the two, I see:

LM2135SP (from Lowe's)
Weight: 56 lbs
Cutting torque: 7 ft/lbs.
Select cut multi-blade cutting system: yes

LM2102SP (from Amazon)
Weight: 62.61 lbs
Cutting torque: 5.9 ft/lbs.
Select cut multi-blade cutting system: no

One thing to consider: the LM2102SP from Amazon includes TWO batteries.

I have ego lawn mower and it worked well for entering 4th season. 7 weeks ago, self propelled feature stopped to work. Claimed the warranty. It was straightforward. Dropped off the lawn mower at one of partnership service center which was northern tool.
Unfortunately, I still don't have my lawn mower after 7 weeks. They said it will take one-three days to diagnose and a few weeks to wait parts then one week to fix. I called so many times and they said they got the part about three weeks ago then they will fix within two weeks but now they said just wait until they will call me. Nothing I can do……

I've seen YouTube videos and I should do it by myself.
Seriously, ego lawn mower has design issues. All wires can be damage easily and can cause self propel and motor issues.

I had to buy a backup mower… bought manual reel mower.

When it works, I like the mower but…………..Think twice before you buy.
Omg, my EGO dies a month before warranty expires. It's in shop for 6 weeks with no news. Now I see my coming path. Thank you for sharing your experience and have me prep for upcomings.

Anyone know of a good deal on one without battery/charger? I have plenty of batteries from a snow blower deal I got a few months back
Buy the battery and sell it. You'll make out its the most expensive part.

Is this better than greenworks at Costco?

This struggles with my thick St Augustine Floratam grass species in South Florida which needs mowed every week during a long summer. Might be fine for you guys up north but I'm sticking with Snapper Briggs & Stratton which self-propells at triple the forward speed, tears through the thickest/tallest turf with ease and makes this mower seem like a weakling in comparison. Returned for refund.

Does this mower cut evenly when mulching at about 3" high? In the past Ego mower reviews that I read said it does now have a good quality of cut when cutting at taller lengths. Anyone know how well this works on tall grass?

Any recommendations on where to get the blades sharpened?
Your local hardware store should do it. I used to pay about $12 for this service at Ace Hardware, but then saw a YouTube video on how easy it is to do yourself if you own an angle grinder. So been doing it myself since then.

Did not like Ego mower because it left many flags. Took it back to Home Depot (2020). Called Ego C/S their only suggestion was to cut laps to half width AKA double mow the yard. NWJ (No Way Jose)!
What do you mean by "flags"? Is that areas of grass that the mower misses due to lack of suction? I was wondering how this cut at taller lengths like 3" and if it has a decent quality of cut, but it sounds like it doesn't?
