Trade-in IMEIs: When testing to see if your phone is accepted for trade-in, any random fingermashed IMEI can be used as long as it starts with a 3. I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.
I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.
Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.
I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.
Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.
I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.

I already had the internet ultra for years, never had a mobile line... so prior to today, i called and downgraded internet service to 300 basic service, then today went in and went back up to internet ultra 500 for +$20 month (was already paying this anyway) got 12 months free mobile service
Note: the person i was working with appeared so adamant that you can only get free line with the gig service and i was like no, you get it free with the 500 service. luckily another rep overheard and said yes he gets it free with 500... just goes to show their own people dont even know promotion properly... lol...

Came home and tried to do unlock request thru chat but was asked to call or go to store. Called and got it unlocked in maybe 5 mins. Overall experience was really seamless. No one at store or customer service asked any unnecessary questionss on trade-in or unlock request. BTW I'm on free line for a year which I got when I switched my home internet (500 mbps) from AT&T fiber. I'm paying $40 for internet service if anyone is wondering. I'm glad I asked for Free mobile for year (Thanks to SD) while switching even though I don't use it😊.
