I'm Hanzelnuts, I was mentioned in the Wiki. You guys are lucky because Spectrum is excepting a lot of older phones as trade in for this promotion. A Note 4 is now worth $35 + $600. That's crazy.

I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.

I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.

Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.

I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.

Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.

I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.

Feel free to ask any questions if need to.

Spectrum is a MVNO of Verizon, so they follow Verizon's policy of tying the SIM to the IMEI of the assigned phone. Therefore, hotswapping SIMs is strongly discouraged. Verizon could disable the sim altogether.

If you want to use your Spectrum SIM in a different phone, that new phone's IMEI must be assigned to the Spectrum SIM. You can do this either by calling in to Spectrum, or do it online yourself using the BYOD and selecting the Keep Your Sim option. Note: Changing your device to a BYOD device will remove your Upgrade Available option from that line, so get your upgrades in before swapping devices.
Yep, I swapped Sims and it was working for a bit and now it stopped. Lol

Are you saying you traded in a new S23 for another S23 and got the net $200 credit, less taxes?

Nobody is getting charged an upgrade fee for taking the new S23 back to trade for S23+ ? Or do most of you have the protection plan on your account?

If you're enrolled in the Spectrum Mobile Protection Plan, there's no additional fee to upgrade your smartphone or tablet. For those without the Spectrum Mobile Protection Plan, an upgrade fee of $45 will apply.

Even better, I had 2 A32s when T-Mobile was giving them out as bill credits as spare phones , so for each time. The 2nd time, had to walk the rep as it got confusing but they were able to do it.

So now I have 2 s23s in hand. One is still unopened (the one today). The first one already unlocked.

Do the trade-in phone really need to be in turn-on condition? Anyone tried dead mobiles for trade-in and got credited?

Thank you very much for the information. Now I know what the issue is. worship
Before I read your reply, I called Spectrum, and the rep told me to wait for a while after swapping. I waited for an hour, and it still did not work.

Did anyone have an issue using the SIM on different unlocked phone?
I tried to use the SIM on different unlocked phone, but it did not work.
Do I need to change any configuration, or call spectrum to get it work?

Thanks in advance.
I had a same question. I think you will to call them and have them updated IMEI for the phone you would like to use with Spectrum sim. As per agent in the store. But let me know once you can succesfully swap the sim card in an unlocked phone.
I am in a same boat.

The in-person rep I turned my phones into didn't turn them on, but this could be YMMV.

My trade in was done in store if that helps.

I got mine unlocked through the phone, the day after I paid it off online.
