I'm Hanzelnuts, I was mentioned in the Wiki. You guys are lucky because Spectrum is excepting a lot of older phones as trade in for this promotion. A Note 4 is now worth $35 + $600. That's crazy.

I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.

I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.

Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.

I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.

Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.

I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.

Feel free to ask any questions if need to.

yeah, but keep in mind, I did both my trades in store... no mailing.
Then I called them directly to handle the refund of the trade in credit and to process the unlock on the phone.
Oh, mine was all online and mailed out the trade-in phone. Assurant got it and processed but my credit card wasn't refunded. It was my Spectrum account that got credited.

Does anyone know how to flash unlocked firmware to these Samsung phones? And get rid of the Spectrum customizations and logo.

I just tried to trade in an HTC M7 which is on their approved list for Att and other carriers in person at a physical location and the sales rep got an error when trying to complete the trade in so I was not able to get it approved.

We tried att and other but neither worked unfortunately. The sales rep was pretty nice about it.

That's because it's not accepted. Did you get a $ offer from the online Spectrum trade-in (you gone through all the steps)? I just checked and Spectrum says "This device is not eligible for Trade-In".

This S23 $600 trade-in bonus has been running since Feb. Originally, the acceptable list was only modern phones. This thread was created since Spectrum expanded the acceptable trade-in list quite a lot recently. But that still doesn't mean every phone is accepted, at least right now. Always go through the entire process online to verify that you get a $ offer for your trade-in.

Is your S23 connected to the internet via sim or wifi? When they unlocked mine, a unlocked notification instantaneously popped up (silent notification) and showed unlocked under network connections, all while still on the phone with them. Just make sure the S23 is connected to the internet. Call them and try again.

It can be on cellular. My 3 phones were unlocked while calling them on cellular, since I wasn't home.

Probably not because it's stated somewhere that the phone must be factory reset. Without visible evidence of this when turning on the phone, it's likely to be rejected.
