I bought a Cricket Wireless Moto G Pure (2021) from Walmart today @ $24 for Trade. Spectrum's trade in system doesn't list it when I choose Cricket as a carrier, but does when I choose "Other." I entered the IMEI and all, got a trade in value of $600+$10.

Question: Will it matter that it's a Cricket Moto G Pure (2021) and not an "Other" carrier's Moto G Pure (2021)? Should I return it and get an AT&T Moto G Pure (2021) that Walmart's selling for $30?
YMMV of course. They didn't ask for the carrier in store for me. Just entered the IMEI and that's it. Even in the email receipt, it doesn't mention carrier. See belown

I did, and the s23 immediately said it had to reboot. After reboot, the phone and msgs worked as expected as an unlocked device.
Thanks

I have to mail-in my old iPhone SE to get the $600 credit. Has anyone gotten the credit while the sim card is on another phone? I have no plans to use the S23 but I don't know if Spectrum will deny the $600 credit when they see their sim card is on a different phone. My Spectrum account shows "Generic Devices" when I go to Manage Your Mobile Lines.

Thanks, followed your advice and checked my trade in email. Noticed it specifies the model number as "XT2163-6." I believe the Cricket variant is XT2163-1, so based on that last digit, they could likely deny it.

For anyone else looking to get a cheap last minute trade in phone, it looks like the AT&T prepaid Moto G Pure (2021) is the XT2163-6 variant. Currently $29 at walmart.

Ordered the att prepaid one for pickup at Walmart tomorrow, will return my unopened cricket one. Received the "Information Needed for Recent Order" email from spectrum on my order today with the cricket moto, so conveniently I can avoid cancellation headaches by simply not not giving it, then reorder with IMEI from matching model number att version.

I got in before the system crash, was able to unlock 2 S23+ phones via phone call. Only took about 3 minutes total, all I said was that I just finished paying off my phones and would like them unlocked. Got the system message indicating they were unlocked, but then I got another message on my main line only saying the phone was locked and to call customer service. Checked the network unlock status and both show as unlocked, so not going to worry about that second message.

Their system has been crashing like 3 times in 7 days. I've been there the last 3 times and it crashed.

How long does it take the trade-in credit to show up in the account?
My mail-in packages was shown delivered by USPS two days ago but I still hear nothing, no acceptance confirmation, no credit or so.
I also did a mail in trade in. have you got your credit yet to your spectrum mobile account? if so, how long it took?

Do i need to purchase a plan along with the ATT prepaid Moto G Pure(2021) phone at Walmart and activate the phone?
Or purchase just the device from Walmart and trade it in to Spectrum without activation?
