They're good for wearing while riding a bike so you can still be aware of your surroundings.

I bought these when they were $15. I like them. I use them when walking around the park or doing chores in the house - I can hear my kids and surroundings clearly while listening. I wouldn't recommended for a loud environment; they don't get loud enough to overcome that. Also at louder volumes people are able to hear what you're listening to.

One safety tip, practice looking down while wearing these as they can make it easier to drop your specs.
I bought a pair of these a few months ago and love them, living in an apartment and having an odd sleep schedule I was always fiddling with the volume and with these while sound leaks it doesn't carry very far.

I was just looking at bose sunglasses the other day... I guess these would do just fine for now for an entry into this category. Cheap alternative. Dont mind throwing away $10 on these. Although there may be no comparison between these & bose

I also bought these when they were offered at $15. The music sounds not so good with these, but for audiobooks and podcasts they are fine. They did have some problems staying connected for me, the proprietary connectors for charging are not great, and the battery life is so-so, I went back to my knockoff bone conductor headphones. At this price point they are probably worth a try for you though.

Awareness of surroundings is the main draw. Sound on these is crap, but for podcasts it's probably passable.

I've been using shoulder speakers for years, like the discontinued Bose Soundwear companion for the same reason- when I don't want to be closed off from the rest of the world.

I see people saying they like these because they can hear the environment around them. I use the JLab Rewind when I want to be able to hear my environment and still listen to something. I would highly recommend them even at regular price. I have been using mine probably 3-4 times a week for a few hours at a time for 2 years now and they are still going strong.

I'm a big fan of these. As others have noted, do not buy these if audio fidelity is your primary concern. You can listen to music and it's sort of a seltzer situation where it's a faint reminder of what the music sounds like. I adore these for podcasts in public. I can hear what's going on around me, listen to entertaining people say funny things, and unlike doing the same thing with a set of open back headphones nobody will look at me funny.

At first, I wasn't sure I had a use for this but after reading yalls comments, I think this would be great for when I'm gardening or hiking and still want to hear my surroundings, in for one!
