Save your money and buy a 5700xt for less than $150 used or $170 new from Aliexpress (often less than $150 if you wait for deals).

The 6700xt is simply overpriced above $200.

yeah but what if i dont want to take the risk of buying used, nor do i want to take the risk or waiting the 4-6 weeks it will take ship a card from aliexpress/china? THEN is this a good deal for a 6700 xt with 12GB? Seems pretty good to me based on average market price for this type of card....

For what it's worth, I don't quite follow your logic on the 6700xt being "overpriced" above $200. Maybe above $300, but that's 50% increase to your statement. Care to elaborate?

Also, I'm still not sold on buying from AliExpress. No anecdotal basis for this, but a past life in the semiconductor world that taught me how creative manufacturing facilities get when "knocking off" big name brands. Could it happen via Amazon/Newegg? Yeah. But I still feel like I have better recourse through "US-based" distribution warehouses vs. something shipping direct from China.

Furthermore, while you are certainly talking about the 5700xt, and not more modern products, I don't see many 'good deals' on today's cards. The MSI 6700xt is on sale for 33% and still being sold for $690 [aliexpress.us]

Certainly the same scalping can be found state-side, but, I, for one, will stick to buying from trusted vendors on trusted websites.

This is the best CURRENT price via big names state-side. Here's a PC part picker list of a handful of Radeon cards. [pcpartpicker.com]. Hopefully that works for you and is not just a cookie-enabled bookmark for me.

Here's a quick GPU Benchmarking overview [tomshardware.com]

The "best deal" I saw in the past month was the MSI 6750XT for $310 after MIR on Newegg from mid April. You had to deal with the MIR, but no 6750 has approached that price since (search Slickdeals for that thread).

Price/performance is static, but performance required varies by user. Is this a "good deal"? Could be. Do you need a card now or can you wait? Do you NEED the full performance? Etc, etc.

All I can say is that it's the current lowest price for 6700xt that I know of.

I hope that helps.

General question: Do any newegg radeon cards still include free game(s)? The promo is supposed to continue until the end of the month per AMD, but I no longer see the promo on any Newegg listings.

quite a few AMD cards were bundled with the Last of Us in April. I believe that deal ended last month. These things come in cycles, so if you want to see what happens after the 4060 and 7600 xt come out in June.

Edit: ask and you shall receive, LOU bundle: https://slickdeals.net/f/16655942-msi-gaming-radeon-rx-6700-xt-12gb-gddr6-video-card-last-of-us-game-pcdd-320-free-shipping?src=jfy&prop=rcmid-3e9090ab8205d06d73e3ba18cbfbffaf

Well, according to AMD, this promo should be ongoing. It is at Amazon which is why I thought it strange to have stopped at Newegg. It certainly WAS at Newegg earlier in May. I guess retailers can stop when they want, it just seems odd. AMD's promo doc (linked below) indicates a March 7-May 28 promotion period.
