Would argue this is also true in comparing a 5600x; if you're just gonna be gaming, buy a 5600x and use the savings towards better GPU.

I went from 3700x to 5900x. no real diff in gaming. i don't play too many intensive ones anyways. day to day it feels "spiffier" light every so quicker in windows.

I also want it for light/medium 4k video editing and music production. I currently have a ryzen 3600 with a 1660 Ti and a x570 motherboard.
