Stack this with the Playstation gift card deal at Dollar General this week (buy two $25 cards and get $6 off) for an additional 12% discount.

Dollar General deal has expired as of 6/4/23. If you have a Costco membership, you can still get $100 packs of PS gift cards at a 20% discount. Walgreens, Office Depot/OfficeMax, and Rite Aid are also doing deals on Playstation gift cards this week that come out to 20% back in store rewards or store gift cards; see their sale flyers for details.

You can stack the Costco deal with a Discover card for an additional 5% back.

Two Playstation gift cards purchased in the same order will give you an automatic $6 discount.
$25 gift cards are the cheapest denomination that qualifies for the deal – supposedly. According to telamon99, the deal also applies to $10 gift cards, and since the discount is a flat $6, you'd get 30% off instead of 12% if you buy two $10s.

If I have 280 days remaining on my current PS Plus Essential subscription, is my only option to either upgrade to the premium or extra subscription for the remaining 280 days? I can't get upgrade to a higher tier for a full year? Seems odd that they won't take more money for a full year and only allow the upgrade for just the remaining 280 days.

I'm having the same issue but with 106 days left....can only buy 12 months and 106 days of Essential or just/only 106 days of the other 2. This is seriously damaging my calm. Thumbdown

Edit: Followed instructions on page 8, worked for 3yrs of extra with 25% off, good to go.

So I can upgrade my sub to Extra at a 25% discount here. I have like a little under 2 years already bought.

Is the best plan for me to max out the savings to buy a few more years of 12 month subs from this deal AND THEN use this deals upgrade to the Extra tier at a discounted rate?

I recently bought a PS5 for my kids. We currently have a PS4 and will be keeping that too. Do I need a PS Plus membership for each console. They will be used at the same time so my 2 kids can play at the same time.

You can use your PS Plus Membership on multiple consoles. I have mine running on a PS3, PS4, and PS5.

I have a PS5 in my living room and my old PS4 in a bedroom. And it works with one PS Plus account.


You can use the same PS Plus account as the primary account for 1 PS4 and 1 PS5 console. Your Plus benefits will apply to both consoles and other accounts on those consoles can both play PS Plus purchased/entitled games for the primary account and play online. The only annoying thing is that the other accounts will not have cloud save syncing as that is reserved only for the primary account that has PS Plus.

This turns out to be a really nice benefit for me and my kids who often want to play different things and will sometimes play the same game online with each other in separate rooms.

Just make sure you are properly designating the PS Plus account as the primary for each console. The setting is slightly different on PS5 compared to PS4.

ok has anyone used the deal to buy another 12 months before their current plan is up? mine is up in july and i go through the process and it says i will be charged 59.99 in july instead of 45 is this just one of those things it will be charged 45 but their wording just sucks.

I just bought another 12 month Plus using this deal. My subscription was set to renew in February 2024; now it's updated to renew Feb 2025. very easy.
