I've flown them at least 10 times without issue.
The type of people that are on the plane are definitely not the same (as a whole) as those flying the more expensive carriers. So there's that. But you're also saving a lot of $
Yeah I still don't understand why people give them hate. As long as you're not booking last minute you get incredible savings. They make it very clear when booking online that you only get a personal item, must check in online, and can't select your seat with the base ticket price. They even make it clear exactly how much it would cost to add additional bags and select your seat. Like I could understand if they were being shady and hiding this information, but they make it very clear when booking so it boggles my mind when I see people complaining at the Frontier gate that it's ridiculous they have to pay for an additional bag.
Flights were almost on time.
Were decent and clean.
Many people dislike their bag measurement at the gate policy.
But they have written it everywhere that they will measure the personal item at the gate.
I carry an eBags bag that is made to fit that size perfectly.
Coming to the pass.
I don't think this is going to be very useful.
The policies are pretty much shit and the blackout dates delete most long weekends anyway.
They tried buying Spirit this year for $19 B so you can use that information and come up work your own conclusion.

Really depends on your home airport, I think this primarily for Denver market or possibly those who are close to a major major airport that Frontier serves but most flyers go with the dominant airline, like ATL I guess.
I find them cheap and easy to use...
We've flown quite a bit past two years ATL>SAN/SAN>ATL on frontier (and spirit) and vs Delta it's well worth the $300 less per trip
Stack with $80 20k status that is good through September 30th if you need a carry-on.
Otherwise, it's perfect for short weekend trips that only need a personal item worth of stuff. Aka a travel bag that goes under seat that is 18×14×8 max (mine is 7.5 deep, but for expansion it's perfect).

I am curious however how they got a Status match for $80.
A couple years ago Frontier did a status match for $50, and they even matched hotel status, so my Marriott Ambassador status got me 100K elite on Frontier, which was VERY worth it when you don't have to pay for anything (bags, seats, free cancelation, etc).
