By far the lowest price I have found for the Voice Caddie SC300 launch monitor. Reviews seem pretty consistent about accuracy beyond the Occasional misread/missed shot and the apex height appears to be questionable. Hoping to bring to the range to improve my golf game

It's possible the balls were too dirty, as they're range balls. But no, I am a 10 handicap, so I would have expected it to pick up every shot.
This is true, I can accurately hit a driver 300+ yards into the next fairway lol
What this unit does well is giving you verification and indication of what you are seeing with your ball flight, and that data will help you understand the difference in feel between your good and bad shots. This is NOT a simulator. It is an electronic estimation assistant for your eyes that will make you better at selecting the right club for any given shot.
When I first got this thing, I thought I would be into all the stats, but after the first few months, all I have focused on is carry, swing speed, and smash. Knowing your club distances is crucial. Since I began using this, I am almost always hole-high when I hit solid shots, and I know my distances for my hybrid, 3 wood, and driver when I need to layup or avoid OB/hazards. I have also used this for evaluating swing speed. I didn't realize how slow I was swinging my driver, and I increased driver swing speed from 105 mph to 115 mph over the summer of 2021, and the smash helped me understand how high to hit the ball on the face. I can now carry 280-290 on my best hits with a smash around 1.5.
Regarding the net, I have used it hitting into a net a few times, which does work, but I found those net practice sessions to be misleading from a confidence standpoint because you don't get information on how far left/right you are from your target. As such, I would NOT recommend this unit for net hitting at all. There are other options, and they are twice as expensive or more, but if you only hit into a net, you need to invest in something that tracks sidespin like the R10 (which my friend has for his net and loves it).
I can't speak to the app because I don't use it. I just power it on, monitor my carry/swing speed/smash, and go play golf with the knowledge I gain.

I always thought golf was a just reason to get out the house and drink beer with your buddies. Although impressive, who cares how good your shot is when you're drunk?!
