Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

Exactly, this is a lukewarm lease deal at best. The huge down payment is masking a terrible residual value (58% for 10k miles/year) and pretty average 6.5% interest rate. Effective payment is $472 per month + sales tax.

We paid $5008+$7500 + $332 per month for car lease then get $7500 tax credit. it is very expensive.

I know this feeling, I ordered a Sonata hybrid last year it was supposed to be 35k when it arrived the dealership wanted 52k I was expecting taxes, but the dealer markup was ridiculous.

I am waiting for another really cheap lease to come around like the 2017 Honda Clarity. Yes, the range was short at only 90 miles but it was more than enough to get to work and back. The out of pocket drive off cost was a few hundred dollars and monthly lease was $199/mo for 36 months. I recall either there was unlimited mileage or 15k/yr and we did put around 45,000 miles when we returned the lease. And after the CA state and SCE rebate, the total cost to lease this car was around $130/mo. So anyone who's shelling out $5000 plus $399/mo + tax to lease this car is a half-fool.

In a conventional vehicle I would have fueled up five times with a conservative est. of a 300 mile range.

I can fill-up a conventional vehicle in 10 min. What was your time spent on a typical charge-up to 80% ?
