This is definitely hackable, so $245 for a dual bevel 12in miter saw is a pretty good deal. Add in ridgid lifetime warranty makes it sweeter. I don't have experience with this saw, but as a DIYer, I haven't had the need for a 12inch saw. A 10inch will handle any trim work, so unless you need the additional cutting capacity, it may not be worth the extra weight. This saw is massive.

I have this saw and the mobile miter stand. Didn't get them at the same time, but HIGHLY recommend them both. The stand is a rockstar, regardless of your brand of miter saw. I was using it with an older Ryobi 10 inch for 5+ years. Upgraded to the Ridgid 12 inch R4222 this past spring and love it, great saw. Purchased thru direct tools for under $200, so note that better deals can be had. But this idea is decent if you don't already have the stand, or hackable like @TealLeopard348 mentioned.
