Out of curiosity, where did your ancestors buy their propane tanks when they were "pioneering the western frontier"?
Camp Chef didn't even exist until 1990, so your ancestors were a bit late to the 'pioneering the western frontier' game.
Now back on topic, this stove is advertised as the Deluxe model (and pictured as the Deluxe model), so it should have the 9,000 btu burners however BBQGUYS web page lists 7,500 btu burners in the spec info.

We got the methane gas conversion kit…. Really a no brainer of an upgrade! With a refried beans dietary supplement we were able to cut out the sharkskin supplier!
If you going to buy one, pick a hose kit from Amazon so you don't need to use the small propane tanks (expensive) and you can use your regular large propane tank.
Jokes and the silliness of this aside, it's probably a fine product. I have their Everest 2 stove-top and it's phenomenal.
I think I'll wait for the Costco deal several people mentioned.
