Did you have to print out the coupon or just show it on your phone?
Even bargain bin oil has to meet industry standards. If it has the appropriate ASTM and/or SAE approvals for your vehicle, it's good to go.
I have used 'em all, but I stick to full synth.
It's a widely known and established fact that most people change the oil in their cars far too often.

Found valvoline. The only place that knows stuff about correct oil level and how to check it on a hot engine(yeah it is not as easy as check in the morning). So far great, with coupon indeed going to be $26 for my beater for 5 qt.
All other quick places are so kind that they overfill oil levels by 0.5-1qt - tired to get home and suck it through the disptick hole into the bottles.

Just because it meets "standards" doesn't mean it performs as well over the typical change interval. The risk of wear is higher toward the end of the change interval, which is where the additives in standard oil have broken down and relatively lack behind full synthetic. There are many controlled engineering tests showing the advantages of full synthetic lubricants over standard oils, especially during startup, especially in cold weather, especially further into the change interval, usually after around 1k miles.
Continue trolling.
I've removed the drain bolt after and get maybe 5mL of additional oil from the pan. I typically have my kid pump like crazy at the end and move the tube around and get maybe 2mL extra oil.
Yes. You turn off your car and put your keys on the dash.
About 15 minutes but both my brake lights were burned out (oops) so they changed them as well... I didn't want to take the time to get to those lights on my car cause they're a pain in the butt to change.
They don't do appointments.
They check all of your lights and those were the only thing I was upsold on cause they were burned out. They took out the engine filter and showed me it and said (looks good - we don't recommend replacing it) which is good cause I replaced it a few months ago haha.
They found no issues during my visit and haven't on any other visits. The only thing the groupon doesn't cover is taxes/government fees which came out to about $6. The bulbs and installation for them were $19 each which was a tad pricey but as I said - a pain to replace.

You talked about "risk to your engine" and "guarantee what is going in your engine". There is no risk to your engine, and you know what is going on when you buy tested and approved oils, simple.
Using full synthetic increases the oil change interval, because it preserves the oil characteristics for a longer period of time. Simple.
The two are not incompatible, one can buy generic full synthetic oil. See?
It is you, not I, who is trolling.
