I can't believe a 4-oz can of NCP2 with a brush goes for around $17 these days. They're completely out of their minds. Vaseline or dielectric grease will work just fine for a fraction of the cost.

Also most newer cars (maybe the past 20+ years if not longer?) have colored boots over the positive making identification of the correct terminals easy. There is no reason for these, which are saturated with some magical substance, to be colored.
If you're worried about it, put a giant sticker or paint a + on your battery (which there is also an indicator there) denoting positive.
