Definitely worth it after hacking it to use the peloton app. A better platform for half the cost on subscription

I currently have the Connect Sport (without the monitor).

Is there any real benefit to upgrading to this one with the built in tablet? Does the tablet know the bike exists automatically or do I need to pair it to the bike via bluetooth as if it was a separate tablet every time I use the bike (like I do now with the Connect Sport)?

Are there any other advantages?

Yep. No auto-resistance with this. I have the EX-3 which also has auto-resistance.

Awesome. Which instructors have you found to be best? My top three are Alex Toussaint for biking, Adrian Williams for strength and Callie Gullickson for core (her classes are much easier)

you don't need to pair the tablet to the bike every time (although you do have to pair inside either QZ or EchBT apps if you use those), but I wouldn't say its worth buying a whole new bike. The tablet isn't great. I'm probably going to remove mine and replace it with a newer android tablet.

Yeah, the bike connects to the tablet via bluetooth. The cable running up to the screen is only for power. You can use whatever tablet you want with it. If you want to reuse the arm holding up the tablet, I think it's a nonstandard mounting screw pattern so you might have to 3d print something or get more creative. Most people that I've seen buy a clamp-on bike tablet holder that grips the top of the handlebars.

I think for a new user it probably a good idea to get bike with tablet. You could always use the existing tablet mount as a path to a future upgrade.

Is this Magnetic Resistance? Is there a readout on the console (or app) to tell what level you are at (1-32)?

Would it just be worth using a cheap 10-inch tablet instead of jailbreaking the one that came with it so you have more functionality? I'd imagine there is some sort of universal mount. Has anyone gone this route that can offer some advice?
