Power supplies get cooling from the bottom of the case, that shroud only has a noticeable impact on gpu thermals if there's no holes or openings to allow air to go through. Unless you are using a crap psu, most should not have an overheating issue, at least not to the point where that shroud makes any meaningful difference as the bottom fan pushes air through the psu and out the back of the pc.

How many 3.5" drives can it hold? Building a plex server with 8+ drives and been looking at cases. Not many choice other than the fractal design 7 and antec p101

Exactly 1. It only has space on the back for a single 2½/3½" drive.
You need to add fans when using this case and when you do, it functions very well.
My 4090 doesn't go past 62°C while playing TLoU at ultra settings. Forza will sit around 55° and that's using the highest ray tracing setting available at NATIVE 4K resolution.
Sure other cases can run a bit cooler but calling it a hotbox is a bit of an overstatement if using a good configuration of fans.
Why do they continue to put that dumb shroud over the PS?
Just bakes the PS, do away that shroud.
You don't know anything about computers do you?
The PSU pulls cool air from the vents on the bottom of the case. If you have your fan facing up it's pulling hot air from the case and you're doing it wrong.
Yea.. I saw that one too when I was searching. However, noise is my 2nd most important requirement. I'm holding out to see if a deal on one would come up around BF.

Yeah you can still find them for sale just more rare. Since pre-built PCs still have them as well

Hard to find but one newer case the Fractal Design Pop Air has a hidden optical drive bay on it.

Good looking build! Is there any way to set the orientation of the GPU the normal way?
