Just for reference, it was $800 nine months ago. This is a decent price for the vacuum but it might go lower around Black Friday.

Where did you find the C3 Marin for $800? I searched and found deals on Cats and Dogs for $900 which is the lesser model than the Marin. Even if that's true, with the current inflation rate, $853 is still a solid deal for second to top of the line Miele that comes from legitimate seller (Amazon) and warranty.

I've been looking for a C3 Marin for more than a year and have never seen one brand new from a legit source for less than 1K.

Ironically, if u can afford this, you have a house cleaner, so you don't even do your own vacuuming.

I think this is grossly over priced too but do shop vacs have powered roller brushes?

Usually your cannister vacuum will outperform most uprights as well as being lighter to maneuver. The C3 is the near the top of the line for Miele I believe, it has a large capacity so you won't have to empty it as often as a bag-less, it is very quiet and it has I think several filtration layers so the exhaust is very clean air.
