As an owner, it's all about matching source audio type with Samsung output mode. The simple fix for me is to cycle through a few sound modes on the Soundbar clicker to get the right one. Sometimes it's DTS, sometimes it's Adaptive, etc. BAM! All of a sudden, you get a desirable output. Otherwise, mismatches don't sound good. Hit the mode button to get the matching one for the source audio media.
I think there are many that are evaluating the quality of sound, and the volume of the rear speakers, without going through the modes and the rear speaker individual settings - yes, they have individual settings. It's a little complicated, and the manual is not the best that's for sure, but it's all highly adjustable. Don't adjust? Bad results, and blame the model or the brand.
That's likely the fault of many bad comments. Again, I'm an owner, so I see both sides of the issue.
I'm very satisfied with mine. Movies and music sounds awesome. And when I bought it it was $200 and thought it was well worth the money and then this thread informed me of the price dropped so I requested a price adjustment and is even more happy. Maybe my experience is different than yours is because, 1)my living room is small so the sound meshed better, 2)I tweaked the sound settings to my preference, 3) I'm not an audiophile and never owned a receiver or anything premium like a Sonos speaker. So I guess my standards of sound system is pretty low to begin with.
Item 1651357 Model HW-B67C/ZA
What's the difference between:
Item#: 1651357, Model: HW-B67C/ZA
vs
Item#: 1699315, Model: HW-Q67CB
Edit: Nevermind, found this thread for the B67C model…. https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/740500
The difference is that Q67CB has Atmos (although virtualized, since the soundbar doesn't have up firing speakers) and B67C doesn't have Atmos.
So it seems like Q67CB is the upgrade to B67C
This speaker will give you louder volume but isn't giving you quality sound. Some people just want volume. The quality of the sound is very low. Sounds like a cereal box and bass is awful.
I have a sonos beam and 2 sl on another TV. I actually got the beam for 179 on a price mistake on black Friday a few years ago but even at today's price the quality blows this away and is worth the extra dollars.
I have a LG system that the sub keeps going out that's why I got this. Super disappointed in this system and now see why they have this for just over 100.
Well, you cannot compare this model to sonos/jbl/bose... You got it for that price due to price error, otherwise it was much higher. My point is for the given price, this is a descent, rather I would say best set you can get. I replaced my old vizio 5.1, probably 8-10 years old system. It did not have hdmi input. Only blurtooth and optical. With new set, I dont feel much of a difference with regular content. Only when dolby atmos movie or songs are playing, it feels better. But that too not night & day difference to be honest.
If you even compare this with vizio's M series or elevate, vizio are much better. But they are costlier too.
So its upto you. You want a good descent budget set which is real value for money, this is for you. If you want a great sound experience, and ready to put extra bucks, go for the alternatives.

To me, this is a crazy good deal for a 5.1 with Atmos and Q for $149. For posters to post prior deals where there was a price error is kinda stupid. If it's a deal that people can't get now, or likely can't get next week, why post self-gratification? I wish people would stick to WHAT'S AVAILALBE RIGHT NOW or likely in the very near future. Let's make sure we compare apples to apples too, and not compare a $149 system to $500+ system, or a 3.1 system to a 5.1 system. Help others to realistically evaluate this deal.
I bought it in-store first, and then checked SD later. I was shocked at the price in-store that I just had to purchase it. It just seemed too low. Last year, this deal would have sold-out the same day. My problem now is what do I do with two similar 5.1 soundbars? ...but I couldn't pass-up such a good deal.
No only virtual no upfiring
