This is a little high for a 4070, especially when last year's 6700s was $1600 full price. 4070 isn't that much improvement, at least when you consider the 6700s has been on sale for $1000 recently. May not see that price again, but still. The 4080 is a much better upgrade because its a big performance improvement with miniLED too (no mention of it here) but that thing is astronomically priced
I had the 4060 version but returned it because I wanted a 4070, so I ordered this one. The 4060 did get a little toasty in the middle of the keyboard, noise wasn't too bad, performance was good. From what I understand the previous versions had quality issues but the one I had seemed solid. Looking forward to upgrading this to 32GB (it has 16 soldered and 1 free DIMM slot) and dropping in the 99 dollar 980 pro 2TB I picked up from Amazon.

The 4070 is about 20-30% faster than the 6700s in rasterization, plus you get DLSS 3.0 for games that support it - I play at 1440p so this was important to me to have the extra performance.

Outside of gaming, Nvidias offer all the AI/ML support that AMD is lacking

Thanks for posting the existence of this laptop deal.

So close to be the desired laptop with USB 4 and Zen 4 CPU. But why paired it with 14" screen? Would definitely geared toward purchasing it, though it was from Asus...

These things still get hot as hell, and will warm your fingers up nicely. Even with undervolting the temps will be lower but it will feel hot.
They sure do get hot. I have a two year old 2060 Max-Q Zephyrus and it's SO hot to touch. I'm looking to get rid of it. It's so loud.

you may want to check the capacity of the motherboard, I've seen posts where this device only accepts 1tb. I know because I wanted to do the same so instead I went with an m16.

4060 version, played Diablo 4 Max Settings @ 1600p on Turbo, CPU reached 92c and 87c with cooling pad. GPU 89c and 87c with cooling pad. I don't expect much for this small form factor
I just don't like the idea of needing burn cream for my right hand after a gaming session exhausts all the heat right out the side.

No, it will take several TBs, but it might be limited to the number of drives you can install. The soldered on 8 Gig was a deal breaker for me.
