if the balance on your statement is small – usually 99 cents or less – the bank will forgive it; it's too small to ask you to pay. The cost of payment is higher than $0.99. Usually it shows up on the bill as a "credit adjustment" or something similar
Goldman will pay $0.99 every month free if you carry only $0.99 balance every month.

Other cards below $2. Many cards allow this. On the same boat and charge micro subscriptions on cards where I don't want to close the line yet.
For churners who want to maintain old credit line this helps. And it's close $75 a year on free subscriptions on multiple cards. Utilization without the worry of card closure.
Capital One Quicksilver – $1
Wells Fargo Active Cash – $2
Discover It – $2
Goldman Sachs GM Card – $1

50GB iCloud storage is the best use case for this.
Win win for all Apple card users.
There are far better use of opening up an account discount/benefits.
This guy fuxxxxx
I charge 1.99/mo Hulu on a card with a 60k credit line just to keep my overall utilization low…have 10-15 cards that get little use.
Citi…every 6 months ask for a CLI and they extend another 2k…just kind of a game anymore.
But agreed I wouldn't open one just to get 99 cents free. Plus many states tax it. Mine would be over $1 and this wouldn't work.

This isn't for opening account, check comment above.
Just use it to buy new apple products or 5% or over targeted promos
If you don't open an account, how do you have an apple card account?
If you buy anything or use the card, you subscription isn't free anymore.
Just pay everything except the minimum waive off prior to statement generation. I know this isn't applicable for all, but some people who regularly churn or want to keep the card active.
