Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
This also applies to some of the other discounts like Veteran, and Government employee. Also there's a $25 off $250 offer for using the Samsung app to purchase. So for me it was $775+tax.
I am very close to buying a monitor.
And I've been reading tons of similar reviews.
If you are willing to spend $800 on this monitor then you should probably get the G8 34 inch for the same price.
You lose the 4K resolution.
But gain an OLED panel vs the VA panel.
Overall I think the 34 inch version is better than the Alienware.
Strictly and only for pc gaming the Alienware is better, but overall the 34 inch G8 is better because of HDMI 2.1 for console.
Don't forget about cash back

Just be aware that text clarity on the QD OLED panels is poor. The color fringing and mild blurriness made the OLED unusable for me. If you use the monitor for productivity as well as gaming, this monitor might be a better choice.
At least until they fix text rendering for the new sub pixel layouts.

What would be the best for ps5? It doesn't support ultra wide I believe?
Was trying to buy one yesterday but seemed to be sold out for shipping to my area w/ no pickup available.
And now that the $800 sale has ended, it gives me an option to pick up at local BB next week.
