Just so everyone knows. HDR2000 is not a thing, there is no rating from VESA that is called hdr2000. Second, Samsung has one of the worst QC in the monitor market if not the worst. I sold them for a living for 3 years and every time a customer bought one, I prayed it didn't come back for a return, because the huge ass G9s and some G8/7s were a huge pain in the bottom to take out of the box and check what's the issues were so we can process the returns. At some point, I just gave up recommending Samsung monitors so I don't have to deal with returns.
Have this monitor for over a year now and its been rock solid. Gaming is on a different level with it...I paid double what this price is and was ok with that....this is an amazing deal.
This monitor has always been hovering around $550.
There was a month it was also 423 as well.
Considering the new models are coming out it would prob be better just to hold out a bit longer.
That being said one weird thing is that when I add this into my cart and check it's $500 instead of $550 (not the mobile app). Don't know why that's happening.

so you see the top part closer to your eyes. easier to glance/see the content up there. I can see people use it for horizontal space saving. split the display into two parts and focus on the down part while top part for reference/movies/w/e, something you don't intent to focus on but want it there.
the vertical space above your monitor is basically always wasted. I wouldn't mind utilizing that free space. and the whole thing can fit on smaller desks. or you can get three of these and go crazy about it. like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA-Kq-Vw47Q
Is this MSRP on par with the premium of a monitor with HDR2000? Because I can't figure out why a VA panel would cost so much otherwise... It doesn't even have G-Sync to jack up the price.

It is mini LED va. It is so different from your typical VA that this just shows your lack of knowledge. This monitor does 240 hz 4k with almost levels of OLED without the burn in issues. It has various annoyances being Samsung. But is it a good monitor for pc gaming or console? Absolutely
