and for the note below with the Costco e520, different features. The 750 has more presets etc.
the propel series does have the look of cost cutting since no stainless, but with a 7 year warranty I'm willing to take the chance. The few YouTube videos from a couple reviewers seem okay with the propel series. And the propel beaker unit is labeled for dishwasher use (unlike the pro series), so if it fails should assumedly be okay for warranty if the beaker or blade wears away.
fingers crossed for $400.

The more I learn about it the more I'm happy I went with this model. I'm surprised this isn't getting more love here.

I dug deeper in an attempt to resolve inconsistencies on the Vitamix site. I was lucky to connect to a well informed tech at the company. First it was over confusion about container compatibility. " All of our containers are now dishwasher safe he said." "We improved the bearings and seals." It's company policy not to say that self detect or commercial containers may be used on G series. No technical reason. Similarly Vitamix does not want to retail customers changing out blade assemblies and does not make parts available to them. The commercial side of the business is kept separate. Commercial customers may purchase parts and routinely change out container and blade assemblies. It is very easy to do.
Specs change. Manufacturers change suppliers. A model number may not change but what is inside does. Numbers are deceiving especially when it comes to decibels. I had to use over-the-head hearing protection with a new 7500 but never with my original early model 7500 which I still have. When I got my hands on an Explorian E320 last year I had a strong desire run over it with my tractor. The pitch was irritating to the extreme. But this is a story of three individual units. I have not had my hands on a Propel. Vitamix has a scarcity of technical information posted about Propel. It does not list the weight.
When the G series ( 7500 ) aka Next Generation was introduced in the early 2000 Vitamix explained what they did to improve the 5200. Cooling was improved to reduce thermal shut down. The case was redesigned to reduce noise. They introduced a new motor. These days they don't discuss technical changes. Opening the unit voids the warranty. Consumers are price sensitive. No matter which\ Vitamix you buy you are getting a powerful reliable blender backed by the best warranty and customer service.
Presets may not be important to me but they are to others. Side by side comparison in one's home is the only way to compare models and containers. Don't be afraid to buy two with the intention of returning one. The return policies are generous. There is no one size fits all for containers tall or short or for motor bases. Trying to decide which model to buy based on internet noise is not helpful. Deficiencies reported by consumers are traceable to improper use. I'm willing to pay a bit more for extra years on the warranty and for what I perceive to be a smoother running machine which is easier on my ears. Not everyone uses their blender on a daily basis. These are personal preferences.

With tHe pro 750 reducing to $400 vs $530 for the slightly quieter a3500 at $530, it is a close decision. The updated price and solid track record of that pro 750 is tough to ignore. Should be a win win either way, just a little torn on the electronic display, but 10 yr warranty is there so makes it a really close call.
