Good, and well placed (like the old pixel where it's on the back) fingerprint readers are much faster. If I pull my phone out of my pocket it's on and unlocked by the time my eyes see it. Very convenient.

Thanks for mentioning that. I'm seriously considering it too. Love the larger and upgradable storage (very helpful if you want to record or download videos much, or a lot of photos), the stylus, and the headphone jack.
However, consensus is that the pixel takes much better photos, and camera is my top priority. So kinda hard to leave the pixel line.
Only concern is the lack of water proofing, and I do miss the headphone jack. Also the prior generation physical fingerprint reader.

I gave this phone about 6 weeks before I boxed it up and sold it on eBay.
I used the money to get a New In Box 4a.
I gave the 6a a chance, and my friends and family had to hear me rant about the following issues:
- Fingerprint Reader was slow and worked 46% of the time.
- Couldn't turn off 5G, which resulted in blowing though my Data (at&t prepaid $300/year 8G/month at the time) during the 2 billing periods I had it for
- Overheating on regular browser, txt and email use
- No headphone jack. Purchased a dongle from official Pixel Online Store. When using the headphone jack in the car, the phone kept cycling through the Assistant and cutting the music off. Really annoying
I really gave this a chance, but this was the worst Pixel I've ever owned- so much so that if the new ones continue to not have a physical fingerprint reader and omit the headphone jack, I just won't purchase a new Pixel when my 4a dies.
This doesn't even look appealing as a spare phone at any price lower than $50 for me to get motivated to pick one up as a 'deal'.
That WAS the slick deal. This is lukewarm at best.

Unpopular opinion but I love my Pixel 2XL and there's so many features that got massively downgraded in newer models. I just got a Pixel 5 and the speakers are trash compared to 2XL. The camera on Pixel 2 was better than 2 XL and both honestly look better than the 5, the optical zoom on my 5 looks like crap. Also, while the OLED does have better dimness without black crush on 3/4/5/6/7 compared to the 2XL, the whites and color saturation do look a lot better on 2 & 2XL (very subjective though, 2XL is an LG OLED that got a lot of criticism, 3 onward are all Samsung OLEDs). Lastly, after using a 6" display (and keyboard) it can be very frustrating using a smaller "normal" sized screen again.
The Pixel 5 is a LOT snappier than my 2XL though -- app installations, switching, and other tasks all go a lot faster. My 2XL has just been dragging, even with LineageOS, and GPS has suddenly been completely borked, so an upgrade was due.
