Tl;Dr - A bit behind the 2022 Zephyrus G14 in performance, screen is fast but not bright, a budget gaming laptop in most areas (keyboard, build, fan noise, thermals), but the battery life is very impressive. And, eureka, the RAM is not soldered in!

Good price for the power, especially that open-box.

I bought this last week when the open box was $840 or so at Best Buy. I compared it to the Alienware M15R7 with 3070ti I also just picked up and was going to keep one. The Alienware had tons of issues out of the box, and the A16 gaming performance was pretty close, had a number pad, didn't look embarrasing at the office, ran quieter, etc. I see this deal on Monday and return both to pick up the open box A16 which dropped to $735 and save $100. They RAISED the open box price to $835, defeating my master plan. Oh well. Just note, the 7600s is a great gpu and I look forward to more AMD iterations of this and the more powerful versions

If you are looking for a linux laptop, this model's keyboard controller had a bug until a kernel patch on July 10, 2023. Keep this in mind as a vanilla install of install of linux will render a dead keyboard, until you push past kernel 6.4.4 or have backported patches.

It's slightly weaker than a 4060 mobile and slightly faster than a 3060 mobile. In terms of a desktop card, it's got about the same rasterization power as a GTX 1080.
