The 7700 has 14% more compute units, boosts to a higher speed, and has faster ram. Theoretically it should be faster than that... but it would need more power than the 7600, and if they have the same cooling hardware that won't be possible, since the 7600 version is already at the limit.
The bigger GPUs have better speed/W generally. 4070 is better than 4060 which is better than 4050 in efficiency. And they are all more efficient at lower wattage than higher.

All modern mobile GPUs ranked, with descriptions: https://www.notebookche
Considering they're the same platform, any power usage discussions are probably irrelevant.

Having a combined power limit is weird isn't it? I know my MSI isn't like that. The GPU and CPU have independent limits.
Generally I don't like being power or temperature limited because it tends to cause glitches. The CPU can't be undervolted unfortunately, but Afterburner should work fine on the GPU. I haven't seen anyone try UC and OC though.

* I have seen the ASUS Tuf A16, AMD Advantage now drop to $729; Lenovo LOQ 15", Ryzen 7, RTX 4050 drop to $699; There's an
ROG Zephyrus G15 Ryzen 9, RTX 3060 at BB for under $700, used; and the Nitro V 15", i5-13420H, RTX 4050 is available at around $849.99
What do you guys think is the best budget gaming laptop on SD now? ..Or are there more viable deals likely coming after New Years from Retailers to get rid of older models for people like me?
** I have not gamed or did much with a PC since 1998..and never have owned a laptop.
My general usage would probably be playing Diablo II: Resurrected.
Which likely can run at optimal settings on a late gen. i3 processor and a GTX 1080 GPU.
*** (Since my future usage will be more, but currently unknown) I think the only other thing that I would need from my gaming laptop would be that I might do some game streaming for YouTube (minor photo and video editing) and perhaps have a dozen web pages open during gameplay.
- I may also use it at school while being enrolled in cabinet making.
I want something that's going to work for me at least for a few years.
I likely will upgrade the RAM, WiFi card, and also the SSD etc. And if it's the LOQ, maybe upgrade the screen?
$500-800 is the range. So the deals now are in my range.
Also, sorry for the long message, I am pretty new here so I didn't post any links because I haven't read up on the rules.
I am just asking opinions though. Not advice. I would ask that on a tech forum.
Thanks.
