Baffles me why something like this open box excellent is only 50 dollars off when some are same price initially but hundreds off via open box

Hey AMD Mobile Graphics! I might just buy this to sell to a museum a few decades down the line
AMD cpu and GPU combo, won't it be good for a hackintosh?

Holiday prices have all come back, just a little higher though. Have a feeling now that the holiday return period has passed we're going to see a lot of open box deals.

Because it's usually more difficult to get a high volume of people to purchase open box. You're risking giving up warranty if someone already registered the device as the tradeoff for an aggressive discount.

That doesn't really answer it. His statement is why is open box only $50 different?

Not bad for the price- but I would personally like to see this at the $700 price point. Open box gets close, but not quite there.

I bought the slightly upgraded (7700S) version last year for $779 and returned it the same day it arrived. I booted up Spider-Man @ Medium settings as a test and the fans immediately went to 100% on the title screen. I suppose it could have just been a defect with my unit (or I picked a bad game to test), but I have since read some reviews about both the 7600 & 7700 version getting extremely loud and hot.

Normally the open box sales are bigger. When it is like this then less are available.

It's a gaming laptop. It's like running a small nuclear reactor with a screen, they're all going to be loud and hot.

This laptop does have incredible battery life. 12 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi, 20 hours idling. Review is on Notebookcheck.

Graphics performance isn't great though, this is around an RTX 4050/4060.

I have a legion 5 with a 4060. Legions have some of the best cooling and mine still gets loud on warthunder. I've tested in on quiet mode, but frames start dipping because too much heat is building up. You really need the fans to blast, get headphones, that's my only solution.

4060 vs 4050 is a huge gap imo. Battery life is very helpful as i won't be gaming too often with this... thanks

Imagine how many return gaming laptops due to fan noise lol. Don't the Xbox and PS systems have fans??
