Yeah it looks like this one doesn't have an ethernet port, but you could always use an adapter or hub with a usb-c port for ethernet I suppose.

Supposedly that increases latency compared to direct ethernet.

Jarrod's Tech picked this as best laptop of the year so far. I just don't remember if it was the one with 4070 or higher.

Seems like a solid all around laptop - can support 2x32gb DIMMs, 2x M.2 SSD, replaceable wifi card, 500 nit screen, large battery, decent port selection, doesn't weight too much (4.6 lbs). Only real negative seems like the huge rubber bar on the back that makes the laptop thicker than 1 inch. Wonder if you can take that off?

You would probably want to keep it on since it helps lift the base off whatever surface you have it on for better thermals.

Would this be a good choice for photo editing? My current laptop doesn't cut it. I am wondering if I should get a laptop that will edit photos efficiently using apps like Photoshop and Lightroom as my only computer, or get a desktop for the photo tasks and keep my old laptop for travel and surfing the internet on the couch etc. Will I get a better desktop for photo editing for my money than getting this, or another laptop? I am not a computer nerd...obviously. Any advice appreciated.

How is the build quality of this laptop, compared to the gold standard Thindpads?

Have the 4080 version, getting about 18k in Timespy which is what my water cooled OC'd 3080 desktop with Ryzen 5900 does... insane what these small thin laptops can do.

Screen, keyboard, build quality, thinness, and all are simply amazing. Crazy how far laptops have come.

I believe the 4080 version is much faster than the 4070 but the 4070 is no slouch.

Important Note - The 4070 version does NOT have the Mini-LED screen. Only the 4080 version (which is $1000 more).

Is their a point upgrading from a 3070 ti? Most reviews are saying to skip a 4070 only the 4080 and above is worth buying.
