There are new data points from 9/14/23 on which seem to indicate that the BYOP SIM trick below no longer works. (i.e. Even though the deal is still available to people who have been Fi members for a while, someone who just activated a BYOP SIM won't see the instant discount and only see the 24-month credit offer). Therefore, I'm crossing out the info about the BYOP SIM trick.

* Added on 8/1/2023 by hpham_53: It's still 3-4 months away until people doing this deal will be close to completing their promotion. But I'll go ahead and add the info below on how to verify that your promotion was Earned, and how to Cancel/Pause Fi service after that.
* How to Verify that your S23 promo was Earned:
There's a countdown in your Billing-->Fi Savings-->In Progress that shows how many more days your Fi service has to remain active. The countdown will never say zero day. On the 120th day, it will stay at "1 more day". On the morning of the 121st day, the countdown should say "Stayed (past tense) active on Fi for 120 days in a row". Then later in the day, the In Progress column disappears, and the promo discount gets moved to the Earned column. At that time or later, it's safe to Cancel or Pause your Fi service.
You can use this Date Calculator: https://www.timeanddate
Enter your activation date as the Start Date, select Add 121 days and it'll show the date when it's safe to cancel/pause your Fi service.
* How to Cancel your Fi service:
In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan, scroll down until you see "Leave Google Fi". Click on that and follow the on-screen instructions. You'll have the options to Let Go your Fi phone number, or Transfer To Another Provider. (There used to be an option to port it back to Google Voice, but I think it's no longer available). If you choose to let go your Fi number, your Fi service will be cancelled IMMEDIATELY. If you choose to port out, your Fi service will remain active until your Fi number has been ported out to another provider.
* How to Pause your Fi service;
In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan, scroll down until you see "Pause Service". Click on that and follow the on-screen instructions. Your Fi service will be paused and Automatically Resumed after 90 days, unless you cancel it before 90 days are up. Once it's Resumed, you can leave it Active, or Cancel it, or Pause again (I don't know how many times you can Pause). If you have a lot of remaining referral Fi credit (which is not refundable), you can choose Pause instead of Cancel to wait and see if there will be new Fi promotions in the future to use up your Fi credit.

Also, I do see bill now (after 2 days of sim activation) but still don't see any promotion for existing customers for any phones (not only samsung, but for other phones as well)..
Any suggestions??

Has anyone signed up and kept the Google Fi phone protection for $12/mo after using this deal? If I keep the service for the required 120 days then cancel, am I still able to keep the Google Fi protection plan on the phone? If that's a yes, am I also able to continue with the protection if I pay the device off early (say in a couple months after the 120 day window)?
The $600 offer was showing up but the guide here told me to wait before ordering it, to wait at least 2-3 days till after my billing cycle started, which I was doing, well I went to check my account now and the offer is not showing up. It's been replaced with the $700 billing credits offer and the $600 off offer was taken away.
Not sure what the reason for that was, but I should have just bit the bullet and bought the phone when I saw the offer, ignoring what the guide here said, now I really do not think there is any way I'm going to get the offer again. I'm not sure why but it's gone now.
I cannot prove the offer event exists, I need a link to the terms and conditions to show them please if anyone can find it.

The weird thing is that the $600 off offer was showing up for me, but then it was replaced with the $700 bill credits, just today. I was waiting like the guides here recommend doing till my billing cycle had gone for 3 days, but seems like that might have been a bad choice in hindsight considering now they've removed the offer and replaced it with the lesser deal.
I told the support agent that the only reason I'm interested in Fi is due to this phone offer and if they will not honor it that I'm not going to remain a customer (and likely will be calling to get a refund as well) since I cannot get the phone I want with this service on the discount offer.

I don't know why you initially saw the $600 offer but now it was taken away FOR YOU. Have you checked and see if you're logged into your Fi account and clicked on SHOP?
The offer is still available for me and probably other existing Fi members (could someone check it please?). The screenshots below were taken around 7:10AM CDT 9/14/23 (with date and time in the lower right corner). I can still see the $600 offer, I even cleared the browser cache and refreshed the page.
Regarding whether or not to wait until the bill is available or order the phone as soon as you see the offer, that's your decision. There have been several cases (one posted within the last 2-3 days) when someone ordered before the bill was available and their promotion was deemed invalid because the system determined that the S23 was activated by a NEW MEMBER. In one case, the buyer couldn't get it fixed by Fi Support and had to return the phone. In two cases, the buyers were able to get it fixed by support but they spent a couple of stressful days wondering if it would be fixed. So, it's your decision on when to order the S23.
Here's the most recent case when the buyer ordered too early without waiting for the bill to be available: https://slickdeals.net/f/16804301-google-fi-256gb-samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra-unlocked-smartphone-various-colors-600-more-w-existing-fi-account-free-s-h?p=165749374#p

It seems to me that google doesn't want people doing this deal anymore or something, so they have taken it away, or my account had it removed, but either way it was there and now its gone, and its showing me the other offers now.
I guess i'll just have to wait and see what google says about the offer. At this point they are supposed to be showing the $600 off one, since the $700 bill credits is for new members only.
