California law requires that manufacturers state what chemicals are used for the Teflon. There is a list of a family of chemicals where PFOA resides. Now, manufacturers say "PFOA FREE". But instead, substitute the PFOA with another toxic chemo of the same family. Doing this is meant to fool the public. But California is not buying the trickery.
The chemicals on this list are linked to cancer, reproductive or developmental harm, neurotoxicity, hormone disruption, and allergies—as well as air and water contamination.

Love my staub universal pan. But the price and quality of the tramotina dutch oven 2 pack does the work just fine at a low price. If I didn't already have them I would be tempted to buy this though.

Why would you have to take care of it? Enameled cast iron is (reasonably) durable.
