You are missing the distance factor.

A 32" 720p screen becomes "retina" at about 75" away. If you are closer than 75" from screen, your eyes could see more detail. Greater than 75" away you cannot.

I use this on my left as a vertical monitor with Spotify, Outlook calendar, and Slack. My middle monitor is 32" for "work" and right monitor is 32" for outlook and browser.

This is a monitor deal, not a TV. TVs cannot compare to monitor PPI or resolution. Don't conflate the two. Monitors are far more expensive due to many factors like PPI, refresh rates, etc. TVs cannot compete anywhere near and that is why TVs are far bigger and cheaper than monitors. Never compare a TV to a monitor. It's like comparing checkers to chess.

If all you care about is watching movies and videos online, you're in the wrong forum and thread.
