You are just looking at the performance point of view. This is a unique laptop with a small and light form factor (and 2-in-1 with touch/pen support) with good CPU and dedicated GPU.

Too much for a xx50 level GPU. Not sure why this is here on slickdeals

There's a large step up going to XX60 series. Usually 50% performance boost or greater

You are just looking at the performance point of view. This is a unique laptop with a small and light form factor (and 2-in-1 with touch/pen support) with good CPU and dedicated GPU.

Don't listen to gamers complaining about 3050ti performance. If a student is not a gamer, this is a decent and good laptop with a very good performance. Do not ignore the weights of the notebooks. Most gaming laptops are over 5 lbs but this is less than 3 lbs. College students must carry a notebook from class to class all day long, placing it on a small classroom desk. So the form factor is important. Students can take notes with a pen (compatible with the Microsoft Surface pen). Any Windows notebook computer at this price range will be good for college these days. Or a Macbook Air, if a Mac is preferred.

not a gamer at all and this is in my price range. just needs for basic tasks for school and like you said, it is lightweight. this should be fine for now or at least the first 2 years and after that, if we need to upgrade than so be it. thanks for your input, greatly appreciated

Been using this laptop since the last deal. I got an opex box used for $730. It was pretty much brand new without the original box. They actually just hand me the laptop in a Bestbuy plastic bag.

Love the battery life for work. Get a good 7-9hours. 50% brightness. optimized settings in Armory crate.

Its lightweight and portable. I taken it on a few trips and going from 5lb laptop to 3lb is a major difference.
The keyboard is a little fingerprint magnet though.

I am a gamer but i have a desktop for that which of course is way better than this laptop but for light gaming or just chilling to kill some time on Valorant or Diablo IV its doable.

You won't find a faster GPU in a 13" laptop, would run too hot.

3050 is decent for something like Fortnite but was shocked ours runs Aliens Dark descent a little slow, that's a strategy game so should be a breeze. Had to turn down the settings.

I have no idea where you got your data from but in most reviews, the 3050TI 40w is closer to a desktop 2060.

Clearly, you are not the target market for this laptop and please, stop comparing orange to apple. (gaming laptop vs an ultraportable). It's stupid.
This is the best 13-inch 2-in-1 laptop with a dedicated GPU for 2022.

The 2023 version, comes with a 4070 60w, but it costs around $2400

I have been using mine for the last year or so.
8 hours or so battery life at 70% brightness.
Great for taking notes during meetings/school with a pen.
Light/Med gaming during breaks.
Best of all, it actually looks like a normal business laptop vs all those fancy gamer laptops.

I might upgrade to the 2023 version when it gets discounted to 1000 or so.

My bad, I was looking at the previous year model with 5900hs and 3050ti at only 35w. I was also comparing high settings benchmark on mobile 3050ti to low settings on desktop 1050ti. I will update my message.
