Is the interest rate (5.05%) indefinitely on the money that is in the savings account?
Indefinitely? or is the 5.05% internet rate only valid for like 1 year or something, and then after one year there will be a new rate based on the future market conditions?
Thanks!!
Nothing is indefinite, but it has been 5.05% for a year or better?
I'm very happy with them.
The last transfer back to my credit union was actually there the next day.

Ok so will they inform us when the rate changes on our account? Or do we have to keep checking what's the interest rate on our account "today"?

Is it worth switching to CIT?

That's what they're offering on their savings account right now.
This bank is part of the Flagstar Bank N.A., and FDIC insured.
I'm not someone that would transfer in and out of banks, unless we're talking about 1% or more difference in interest rate.
If you're depositing less than $22,000, then it's really not worthy. Personally, your interest income should be $100 or more per month on this hysa. With 5.5%, you'd just need to put in $22,000 to earn $100 interest a month.

4.879% now. I'm ready to depart soon. It will continue to drop. They won't notify you either. I've had accounts with them for years. Always having to close accounts to open new lines to get better rates.
