Played later with a 6 year old (he was sober) and died in several other horrible ways.
TL;DR: Fun for all ages, would die again!

Amazon reviews are sketchy at best. I've had sellers offer me gift cards and $ to leave positive reviews .
Just be warned that this is geared more towards casual fun than serious gameplay. There's not much skill or strategy involved, basically a choose your own adventure story on cards.
The game takes a few hours if you're properly exploring.
It's also split up into four sections so there are easy stopping points if you want to pause. If you're a more serious gamer trying to "win" as quickly as possible... Probably don't bother. It's definitely about the journey, not the destination.
There is also absolutely no replay value aside from exploring some areas you might have missed, and only one ending.
