Thanks to Deal Hunter daisybeetle for finding this deal.
Student Discount Details:
Eligibility requirements include enrollment in an undergraduate or advanced degree program at a Title IV-accredited college or university in the United States and residence within the United States. Must be 18+.

If your annual re-verification fails, you will no longer be eligible for the relevant discount, and your plan will auto-renew at the regular membership price.

Walmart+ Benefits:
Free shipping with no order minimum
Free delivery from your store
Paramount+ subscription included with your W+ membership
Doesn't require a EDU email, but they do use SheerID to verify you. If your information is in their database (name, birthday, and college) then you are verified. Same process as Spotify Student

I was able to get an existing Walmart+ converted to the discount one by chatting with a support person who gave me a link to a form to fill out
The way that I did it broke something and now I'm stuck waiting on a resolution. Technical error it says when I try to update to the half-price, student plan.
No big deal really, but I'd like to keep my old account for sure instead of creating a new one for the student rate.
Thank you so much. My son is a Junior student but has a high school email. I will try that. If this offer is for college students then no luck..Thanks any ways
Seems like not many online store now a day use just EDU email to verify student status anymore(?) Especially there are college student verification service like ID.me available.
Some major University give out EDU email to their alumni so just by having EDU email doesn't mean someone is active student nor working in University/school, etc and many stores probably know about it.

Try signing up through a Walmart mobile app like on cell phone. I got same technical error when I tried doing it through the desktop. Worked well and was able to signup by opening student verified email on mobile.

How do you link to the student account offer to sign up through the app? It always goes to the webpage, and cannot get the offer on the app to switch to student account.

This is usually done within a few minutes, but may take up to 2 hours due to site traffic.
We'll email you once verification is complete.
You will be contacted via email.

Don't go directly through the app. They should send you an email saying your eligibility is confirmed (see pic.). Open the email on you're phone's mail app(I'm using iPhone). Click on the continue signup link in that email, it should open the Walmart app and it allows signup without any errors.

Is there a direct link for walmart student? It redirects me to the app and I only see a start 30 day trial link which I'm already a current walmart plus member and logged in
