I got this at one of the really good holiday deals a few years ago. I like it and it works well.

But if you just want a tire inflator (not air pump for rafts, air mattresses etc) there are better choices now depending on what battery system you use. I don't like that roughly 1/2 the unit is for a feature I will probably never use. In other battery systems

The M18 inflator is similar size but heavier duty as a tire inflator. Costs more but often find promos with free battery. It's my new favorite.
I have not tried the M12 inflator.
The Ridgid small inflator is surprisingly good in a small format and for low cost if you have the battery system (around $60 at HD, but never seen with promo batteries as the batteries will be more than that.) Because it's small and I have the Ridgid system already, I usually carry that one in my truck, and a Ridgid light.
I would not bother with the small Ryobi handheld even at under $30 unless you want for just lawn equipment, ATVs etc.

just an FYI, this was $130 with a 5ah battery a few days ago. if you bought another item, a free DCB115, 4Ah charger was thrown in

Also, I bought one of these Dewalt inflators for myself and I already have a charger and several batteries, but I also bought one of these inflators for a friend….who does not have any Dewalt batteries or a charger. If anyone is aware of any current deals on a Dewalt 20V battery combo with a charger, please let me know.

If I was not full in on dewalt systems, I would not spend the extra to get this unit. But I do love this inflator. So much better then those off brand stuff. I'm guessing rigid or m12 is just as good

Good price if you're looking for a DeWalt inflator to go with your DeWalt batteries. I'd like to see them dip back under $100 but $105 is ok. I do love these things …. have a few for home vehicles and bought for kiddos' cars. So handy, fast, simple.

Do you store them in the vehicles? How do the batteries hold up in the constant heat?

Good question. I plan to store mine in my house, (where I keep the Dewalt charger) and just use it when needed. I do keep a cheapie in my car trunk that I got off of Amazon a few years ago that just works off of the 12V plug. I live in fairly warm climate and was not sure either how the lithium batteries would hold up in the heat, but my flashlights that I keep in my car trunk with small lithium batteries (CR123) seem to do ok, with the batteries lasting years. I also am not sure at the cost of these batteries, whether I would want to tie one up all of the time for leaving it in the trunk. I may store it in my car trunk without a battery…….since it reportedly works very well off of the 12V cord/plug and may just bring a battery when I am planning to use the inflator.

Also note that the Ridgid comes with a cord that can plug into a vehicle's 12-volt outlets, so you don't need to have a battery with you.

I believe the Dewalt inflator comes with the 12V plug as well, and I think it has an optional OEM AC power cord as well.

Hard to beat this inflator value wise. It just works. The Milwaukee is faster and probably more durable, but for the money DeWalt really nailed it. Set the psi and walk away. It's awesome.

I own and enjoy this tool. However, I don't see this as a great price. I think I paid around $80 for mine a few years ago.

Agree that I have seen it lower at times over the years, so if someone wanted to wait until Black Friday/Cyber Money, it is reasonable, but if someone wanted something sooner, it is still about 25% off of the price currently selling at Home Depot/Lowe's, etc. (and although it said it was coming Wednesday……..mine are coming today already, and I just ordered last night. (without Prime)
