After the latest firmware update (something you can't do on the gsync one), there is no reason to buy the gsync version over this. I have this monitor and a 3080 ti. It's an amazing monitor I have no complaints.

many websites put the dwf way ahead of the gsync version

Looks great! But when I first set it up the colors felt a little oversaturated (granted I never used an OLED before)
The pixel shift is noticeable to me but nothing killer.
However, the pixel refresh is annoying. I use it as my work monitor and am at it at least 8hrs a day, which means it will need to refresh twice -- once being right in the middle of my workday when I am busy well, working. If I cancel the refresh, it won't run by itself as I never put my PC in standby mode.
I did set up a screensaver to run a blank black screen, if I step away for more than 5 mins. Chances are, if I don't come back within 5, I won't come back for a while. Makes sense to have my screen cleared just in case.

That's a pretty strong trade-off. The DW also gets brighter in HDMI and has a slightly higher max refresh rate.
The DWF is definitely better for console gaming and the upgradable firmware and fan improvement is enticing. I certainly wouldnt pay $200 more for the DW, but I did pay $60 more.
I can hear the fan in a quiet room after a long session of gaming on my DW, but it's much less than the sound of my PC and is not bothersome to me.
Eyes can't notice dif between 8 bit+dithering and 10 bit if you want to stay at 165hz. Bring it down to 100hz to get 10 bit active. This is superior to the GSYNC version and cheaper, both claims vetted by many expert reviewers. Lack of firmware updates alone to GSYNC version a dealbreaker. HDR Peak 1000 working fantastically on the F version. Not so much on the GSYNC model.
