Asus Zenfone 10 just went live in the United States officially today. If you were holding out for a non intentional version of the phone it's here.

For a short time they are including their $99 buds too but it is also available through Amazon ... I am pretty sure you have to use Asus.com for the free buds.

It has been reported that the Zenphone line is dead, with the 10 being the last one. Then Zenphone team has been laid off, but the ROG phone team remains untouched according to the source. https://www.androidpolice.com/asu...-suggests/

Bigger battery

Gimbal camera stabilization

I usually prefer big phones, but the Zenfone 9 did tempt me last year. Happy to see a small(ish) option staying on the market with that feature set.

Not sure why anyone would get this over a base Samsung S23. It is 4 grams heavier than the S23, but smaller screen, no telephoto camera, dimmer screen (1100 vs 1750 peak nits). I get it that it is cheaper on paper, but I don't think anyone here pays MSRP for Samsung phones.

Am I missing anything really amazing about this phone?

The fingerprint reader on the side, the ability to use it to swipe down notifications, being able to choose between Asus customized UI elements or stock Android when you set the phone up. Not dealing with Samsung apps or Bixby. Actually good battery life (I had an S22, and they'd need to double the battery life for me to consider it.)

I also like that it has a headphone jack for use with my headphones, and frankly it seems half the people in the world still use wired headphones. I used them yesterday and a roommate likes a pair and you see them daily in Europe.

Just wish this had an IR blaster which EVERYONE should demand from every phone because the alternative sucks.
