I was holding out for a Starfield special edition console but then they announced the new line of console wraps a week or so ago, with a Starfield wrap as the main attraction, so I think Microsoft has officially decided to stop doing limited edition consoles.

Glad to see this generation is finally having stock so we are getting deals now.
looks like Dell doesn't have hogwarts legacy?
Can I split a purchase across 2 ccs?

The X is targeted at a more premium customer segment and it seems MS has been less interested in significant price reductions.

In terms of cloud gaming, probably not going make any significant inroads for many years since lots of people don't have good internet connections. With all the legal stuff going on with the Activision buyout, Microsoft themselves admitted cloud gaming is tiny part of their business and projected growth is small.
In terms of console price drops, it all depends on the usual factors of supply and demand, and cost of production.
That said: I bought mine for $500 in November of 2020 and have zero regrets. It's a significant improvement from the 1X (much shorter load times is the killer feature for me), and the $25-50 I would have saved is nothing compared to the hundreds of hours I've put into it since then. If you're getting it for a delayed purpose (like a Christmas present), it may be worth waiting to see what happens on BF. But if it's for you, $470 flat or $475 with a very flexible $75 GC to start playing in less than a week seem like good enough deals to jump on to me.
just one game
