Just took first aid training this summer and breathing is still part of the CPR practice, though we're always recommended to use a mask with one-way valve unless it's your close relative.
If the basic CPR rescuer doesn't have a airway barrier, then just doing chest compressions is o.k..
When anyone does chest compressions, teens and older, make sure you push hard and deep! When you are doing chest compressions you are pumping the heart and most people already have oxygen in their blood.

I recently learned that mouth-to-mouth breathing is no longer recommended during CPR (because of transmission risk and that it takes away time from the more critical chest compressions) so you can probably toss that bit. Perhaps why they're clearing them out.

I misread it at first and thought it was five kits. Would have been in it just for the bags.

No, you wouldn't want to throw the CPR face guard away. It's not that it's no longer recommended, it's that high quality compressions are far more important in early CPR, and the layperson is more likely to perform CPR if they don't have to think about breaths.
Having the protection would still be nice if you're in a situation where there's multiple people and there is someone who is trained and comfortable to use it until more experienced help can arrive with a BVM.
Just a heads up I had a hell of a time with this site getting any payment through, credit debit gift etc. Finally had to go to the dark side Paypal. Not much of an ecommerce site I reckon
Anyone able to comment on the quality of the first aid kit and overall if this deal is slick?
If you need/want the mylar blankets, it's a good price. If you're in the market for a small first aid kit, you can find better deals on Amazon for <$9.
