Interesting how we first moved from 4:3 to widescreens and now widescreens feel ancient 😆

Was that in gaming, in which case it would be no surprise. But if this can run off the integrated GPU for non-gaming instead of the RTX 3050, it should be able to run longer on a 70wh battery. That being said, CPU has a base power of 45w, vs. most of the i#-13## cpus that are more like 10-15w, so yeh...not going to be efficient. Any computer with a power CPU like this is more of a desktop replacement with portability than a highly mobile work/school from anywhere all day laptop.

I actually looked at this laptop in the store before I bought my ZenBook Flip 15 (12th gen i7, Arc A370m) open box for about $880. The 1080p OLED is super grainy. If you want one of these laptops, get the i9 version with the 2k screen… MUCH better and has the same 3050 6GB.

45w RTX 3050 is going to be very limiting in terms of gaming

CPUs/GPUs dont run at fill tilt at same time pretty much ever unless you're running benchmarks to tax both at same time which isnt real world. 70wh battery should be able to get several hours out of this in non-gaming every day tasks. Wouldnt surprise me if the 2-3 hours was in some gaming or taxing tasks with screen brightness all the way up etc...OLEDs do take more energy than LCDs, but unless you want to blind yourself you are probably using this closer to half screen brightness (300 nits) than full (600 nits) most of time.

This all being said, there isnt a laptop with dedicated graphics card out there that lasts long on battery while gaming because even the most power efficient models use 45 watts typically on their dedicated GPU and battiers cant be bigger than 99wh

It seems like this is pretty neck-and-neck with the Lenovo Slim 7 deal, refurbished from EBay that's also up right now. Thoughts?
This one is much faster. The other one is more portable and longer battery life.

60Hz 1080p FHD screen is it's downfall...either that or the RTX 3050 instead of a 3060. But both?

How good is the 3050 vs the Intel UHD Graphics that come with the i7-13620H?
Anything higher than 1080p on a 15.6 screen is a waste. The RTX 3050 is very low performance but will be miles better than the iGPU on the i7. It's unlikely you'd push anywhere close to 120 FPS even on 1080p for anything other than old games and esports titles. I do agree though that the GPU doesn't match the CPU. It would be a much better value paired with an i3 or i5 and priced to reflect as such.

1080p screens just don't work for me anymore. Anything 16:9 looks old and ancient after moving to 16:10 and 3:2 ratios
It's an RTX 3050. You're not gonna play games in 1440p to begin with.

I have a Lenovo Slim 7 with the RTX 3050. It is a decent 1080p performer, miles better than intel integrated. I can play Diablo 4 1080p 60fps on medium settings.

Man, this thing would be almost perfect with a 6800hs and MUX switch.

Battery life seems to be the killer here.

Does RTX 3050 on laptops has a 6GB version? I thought all 3050 on laptops are 4GB.
Yeah, and it's decent, especially with the addition of 2GB over the standard 3050, but the 6GB version has a 96-bit memory bus vs 128-bit on the standard 4GB mobile version.

The comments about the battery life are accurate. I owned this laptop and returned it within a week due to poor battery life. Even in battery saver mode I was getting at most 3.5 hours.
