You know what helps you get over an ex-girlfriend? A dewalt table saw.
Just a girlfriend, they come and go….
Great deal if you ask me. I paid $561 including tax back in 2018 and I thought it was a great deal back then. Even cheaper now.

The girlfriend would kill me if I keep buying stuff I will "potentially" need. 😃 Splendid deal indeed.

I knew patience would pay off. I mean cost me $$. Been eyeing this saw for a while now. I have a rigid table saw currently that I dread using. Plan on getting this and building a outfeed table/workbench around it.

That's what I did. Sold the portable stand for I think 80-90ish to help offset the cost.

How would you guys compare this to a the Delta line table saw commonly carried at Lowes big box store. Does this have Dado? I don't really need the mobility. I'm looking at a used Delta 10 Inch on Marketplace.

I just bought a house that needs quite a bit of work, New windows, doors and eventually remodeled kitchen. I currently only have a circular saw. Should my first purchase be a sliding miter saw or a portable table saw like this DeWALT?

Yes on the dado. This is a great deal. The fence is great and it's plenty powerful for all the usecases a general woodworker has. I figure I'll keep mine for a few years and see if my skills have progressed enough to justify something like a SawStop.

I reno'ed 3 houses with just the miter saw. Most of the work was cutting trim or 2x4s which the miter saw does very well. The flip side is that a table saw can do everything a miter saw can do plus more (especially with jigs). It's just a bit larger and more expensive. If you do opt for the table saw route, be sure to invest in a good miter gauge (such as an Incra, Kreg or Rockler)- the one that comes with this one is sorta junk.

A table saw can do everything a miter saw can and more. If I had to buy one saw, it would be a table saw
