This is the very popular DEWALT 10 inch table saw, with stand, at the lowest price it's ever been according to CCC.

I've been watching for a good deal on this one for a little while. My stars have aligned (funds available, a good deal, and on Amazon where I get 5% cash back) so I grabbed one. Thanks!

Reviews on this are quite good and it seems to punch way above it's "job-site" class (lots of people use this for beginner to intermediate shop work as well).

The girlfriend would kill me if I keep buying stuff I will "potentially" need. 😃 Splendid deal indeed.
You know what helps you get over an ex-girlfriend? A dewalt table saw.

Does anyone know if the box has unique serial numbers on it? I bought one that I never used that has a defective throat plate but missed the return window. I thought about buying another and then returning the defective one.
You could just swap the plates and return the new one

I reno'ed 3 houses with just the miter saw. Most of the work was cutting trim or 2x4s which the miter saw does very well. The flip side is that a table saw can do everything a miter saw can do plus more (especially with jigs). It's just a bit larger and more expensive. If you do opt for the table saw route, be sure to invest in a good miter gauge (such as an Incra, Kreg or Rockler)- the one that comes with this one is sorta junk.
Agree with above. If you are doing mostly trim work or framing the miter saw is faster and less scary to learn on. If you are ripping sheet goods or framing material or building furniture table saw if you had to pick one.
For me, a 10 inch sliding miter saw and a track saw are the ideal combo, and takes up less space.

How would you guys compare this to a the Delta line table saw commonly carried at Lowes big box store. Does this have Dado? I don't really need the mobility. I'm looking at a used Delta 10 Inch on Marketplace.
Based on my research, this is an awesome machine. I'd rather have the Delta - or its twin, made by Ridgid and sold by HD - because it's heavier and, therefore, quieter to operate. That said, I've been waiting for a deal on either the Detla or the Ridgid for many months and have yet to see one. It seems like the Dewalt goes on sale more often, albeit typically for a higher price. If you need something now, I'd go for the Dewalt. I'm gonna hold out a little longer but will probably cave evetually

I picked up a Delta for 350 a year or so ago from Lowes. Had a concaved, not flat surface that they are known for. Didn't use it, sold it locally for 650. Watch out for that if you get one.
