Edit: For those who care, apparently this saw doesn't come with a shadow light or laser.

I use my table saw when I'm cutting lots of boards to the same length, because it has a fence so it's easier to be consistent. The miter saw is really more for one offs, or just a few boards. I find a miter saw easier to do angled cuts; pushing across the table saw at an angle is just awkward.
I have a sliding miter saw, but I really don't need the sliding feature. I was using it to cut beams for a while, but I don't really do that much because I ran out of glulams.
Did anyone see it pre-checkout or did you have to roll that thing all the way to the register before the price showed lower?

The shadow line is SWEEET. That is the biggest reason I don't want anything but the Delta miter saw, which is often available around this price.

You probably know but for others, the Rigid 12 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw does NOT have a lifetime warranty but instead 5 years. Heard this has something to do with being made by Delta.

For those of you that woodwork, what are your thoughts on just using a table saw vs grabbing one of these even if I may not really have the space? I honestly don't know how often I'll need the depth this can manage (was thinking maybe a 10" non sliding) but having it just in case is really drawing me in.
Now that I have a dedicated small shop (one bay of a 3 car garage) there's very few projects I don't use both, and having the table saw too saves a lot of time setting up guides and clamping them down for my circ saw. I also have a really nice miter sled for my table saw but I still almost always use the miter saw if what I'm cutting will fit on it!
(Btw, if you get this miter saw, you could also pick up the cheap Wen track saw to buy time before you get a table saw. I have it and love it and keeps dust way down when attached to my dust collector compared to my circ saw).
